Donations keep us going
As a small local charity we are self funding and totally rely on donations to cover the expenses throughout the year. Fortunately we are able to claim 25p in every pound donated by a UK taxpayer from HMRC through the Gift Aid scheme. All this involves is collecting the address and signature on a simple form, this can be either a perpetual donation allowing us to claim against everything you give or a simple one off amount. Donations FAQs
- What if I cannot afford your ‘voluntary contribution’?
We do not make a ‘charge’ and all clients are free to make whatever donation they feel able to afford. - Will the driver give me change if I do not have the correct money?
Most clients give us whatever they wish and your driver may not have change so if you do not have the exact money you wish to donate please make sure your driver knows what change you will require on the outward part of your journey so that he/she can make further arrangements as necessary while you are at your appointment. - Will your driver give me a receipt?
Receipts are available on request; most clients do not ask for one but if you do require one please tell the Coordinator when you phone for your appointment. - What if I want to make a larger contribution?
We will be delighted to receive whatever you wish to donate. - I do not need a driver to take me to the Doctors or Hospital but would like to donate money to your cause, how can I do that?
